Running for ‘One and All’

Posted on:

Running the London Marathon is a bucket list moment for so many and every year we are amazed by the determination to not only to undertake months of training in rain and shine (mostly rain this year!) but to also raise money for our charity.

This year our band of runners Jean, Jamie, Megan, Amber and Brett have raised funds from tombola’s to music events and we are delighted to announce that they have collectively raised an incredible £16,707.61 for our charity.

Community Fundraiser Amy Aucott says ‘We are in awe of our 2024 team of runners who have raised a staggering amount for our charity this year. Supporting 5 different funds across our hospitals their donations will enable us to do more for our patients, families and colleagues. Supporting them over the last 9 months has been a real pleasure and seeing them cross the finish line is always a proud moment for the charity team’

As one London Marathon finishes, we start to look ahead to 2025 and we can now announce that our applications are now open for our Charity Gold Bond Places. Please click on the link to complete your application https://forms.office.com/e/x7xzugYR8M

We will leave you with this quote from one of our 2024 runners to inspire you to sign up:

“From the start to the finish line my experience of this epic marathon was fantastic. I truly hope the next group of runners for 2025 apply for a charity place. An experience I’ll never forget!!”

Application closes on Sunday 30th June at Midnight.
